Reasons to be optimistic

Although very challenging, there are several reasons to be optimistic today. 

In this great TED Talk, Kevin Kelly mentions that, if we look to the past, we can see that we've had a great improvement over the history. We can see that every invention or disruption required an optimistic to believe they could create something big and great. 

Optimism is a choice and it can shape the future. It is not a lack of problems or a blindness to reality, but it's about looking at these problems as opportunities. It's trusting that the future will be better than today, because new generations will have higher knowledge and will be able to solve problems we cannot solve now. And it's about understanding that the problems we have today were generated by the solutions of the past. If there are no problems, there is no progress.

O Milagre da Manhã é um livro que não quero ler. Sei que está na moda e que todos coaches motivacionais o recomendam. This is Us

I finally made until the end of This is Us and I can say that this was the best series I've ever watched. Not only because of the story of the triplets Kevin, Kate and Randall. But also because of the love they got from their parents, Jack and Rebecca Pearson. And about the way this story was put together, with all the flash backs and retrospectives about their lives... I promise you won't get any spoilers if you keep reading this. Right now I am sitting at my desk, writing these words, while I listen to the series soundtrack and feel the emptiness for not being part of this family anymore. Along all the 106 episodes from the 6 seasons of this series, I listened to the opening song during my evenings. And, as it has already happened with so many other series, movies and books, I feel empty after finishing them.  I have to confess that I didn't make through the first episode at once. Hoje vi uma roseira e fiquei lembrando da época em que recebíamos rosas roubadas, na nossa adolescência la em garça... que saudade! como era bom acordar e ganhar um presentinho desses, nem sempre com bilhetinho mas sempre nos fazia sorrir! Será que os homens ainda são românticos assim?
